Refined Interiors installs both interior metal framing and exterior heavy gauge metal framing for commercial and high-rise buildings, custom homes and residential renovations. Metal framing is lightweight and strong and resists rot, shrinkage and warping of studs; making it ideal for applications in both commercial and residential structures. The strength and flexibility of steel is ideal for design applications allowing it to be used for more than just framing walls but to create decorative arches and elaborate ceiling work.

Insulation – Roof/Attic
The attic is one of the largest sources of potential heat loss in a home and often one of the most neglected areas when it comes to insulation, especially in older brownstones & row houses. If your top floor is hot in the summer or if the furnace can’t keep up in the winter, chances are your roof needs more insulation.
Our attic service involves blowing fiberglass or cellulose onto the attic floor at the required R-Value. Precautions need to be made for recessed lighting fixtures that are not ‘IC’ rated.
Insulation – Wall
The walls of your home are arguably the most beneficial and important areas to insulate.
We can retrofit insulate wall cavities with blown fiberglass or dense packed cellulose. This process can be done through the interior or exterior depending on the siding of the home.
Insulation – Ceiling/Floor
We recommend that you insulate ceilings when you wish to achieve separate zoned heating. Floors over unheated spaces such as parking garages should always be insulated.
If you’re renovating then you should consider batting insulation for ceilings and floors. We offer various types of batting for specific applications.
Insulation – Crawlspace/Basement
A crawlspace or basement that is not insulated is a major source of energy loss and contributing factor to thermal inefficiency.
We install batting insulation for most basements but foam and retrofit options are also good choices.
